Very proud, surprised and tired.
Today wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for my loving and supporting husband, family, friends, professors and staff. To Paulus Musters and Eric Hubbard, thank you for our numerous conversations and the many summers of learning and laughing together in the Materials Lab. To Jesus and Sheehan, thank you for offering me the chance to learn from both you and the students. The material fabrications course will always be my favorite class at CAPLA. To my boss, mentor and friend, Luis Ibarra, thank you for believing in me and your continued support and constructive advice. You’ve taught me more than just the lessons of design process and architecture. I will forever carry the many lessons you’ve shared with me and look forward to the projects ahead. To my amazing husband, Taylor, thank you–without you I’m not sure how those late nights and projects would’ve turned out if you hadn’t continuously cheered for me and encouraged me to give this my all.

Hannah, I am so proud of you and honored to be your father. The future is waiting for you with its opportunities and challenges.

Congratulations on all of your achievements at U of A, but I am most impressed with your character and the beautiful young woman you have become. May God richly bless you! I love you! Dad.
